For a relatively new company in the smartphone market, the folks over at OnePlus did an excellent job of creating a hype around their product. However, after unveiling the device and their invite system, the excitement around them has died down significantly because of how difficult it actually is to get your hands on the phone.
To keep the interest in their device alive, David S from the OnePlus forums has provided an update on when competition winners should expect an invite to land in their inbox.
According to David, the first set of invites should to buy the OnePlus One should go out by June 6th and once the order is placed, the device should ship within 3-5 business days. While the first set of invites were expected to go out sometime in late-May, some software issues have delayed the roll-out by four days.
For other interested consumers who did not win any competition, OnePlus says that an invite storm is coming for them this June. They also posted some photos of the first batch of the OnePlus One stock present in their warehouse, affirming users that they should have enough stock to meet the initial batch of invite-created demand.
